FAQs
Why would I buy a Heavy-Duty tarp over a standard Economy tarp?
Our heavy-duty utility tarps are Polyethylene Woven Coated with a 6 oz. density and a 14 × 14 weave mesh, and have reinforced corners for greater strength. They are also white.
Our standard economy utility tarps are similar except they have a 2.4 oz. density and an 8 x 8 weave mesh. They are also blue.
Since the density of the heavy-duty utility tarps are greater, the weight is greater, so consider that in your decision.
The sizings are similar so it really depends upon the application. But if you want maximum protection, we recommend the heavy-duty tarps.
What are the standard sizes you sell for Heavy Duty tarps and Economy tarps?
The standard sizes available run all the way from 16’ x 20’ to 50’ x 100’!
The economy tarps don’t run quite as large as the heavy duty tarps but have more in-between sizes.
How do I use an Ice Rink tarp to build an ice rink?
The heavy-duty utility tarps have the name Ice Rink in them as that is one of the most popular applications for them. They are actually used not for covering but for lining an area that you fill with water.
Make sure you line the entire area to a depth of several inches with the liner size of your choice before filling with water. And leave a few inches around the edges to properly cover your dirt or wood border.
